First thing I would try is to thoroughly clean the battery terminals and use a terminal brush on the battery terminals and the inside of the battery cable even if they look clean. These are susceptible to poor battery connections and grounds. I have also read about problems with poor solder joints in the instrument cluster causing problems like this . Go read this on another forum , sound familiar???
