I'm having the same problem with you. My Accord is 2000. Been trying to fix it for few months now. Hasn't really take it to the Shop yet.
I would try the batt disconnect method. I tried to unplug the ECU few weeks ago and it aint easy. Hardly any room to pull the harness out. Another way that I think it might work is on the passenger side where the fuse are inside the car (right of glove comp.) There you'll see lots of harnesses near the fuses. Some of those goes to ECU.
I'll try it now to see if the Engine check light goes away. I have aready replaced 2 O2 Sensors with-in a week and it's not fixing it. And I tested the old O2 Sensor on my other Accord and its been working for the pass 2 years.
BTW is your error code is P1167 ?
