We have been to 3 Jeep Jamborees (which are probably the same) when we lived in Colorado and they were held in Leadville. They were great...somewhere between feeling like you are at a concert, road trip, driving trails with a buddy, state fair, etc...not a cheap event but a lot of fun.
They will have different levels of trails depending on what you drive...ours was a little mellow for me but was a lot of fun for the wife and kids.
Sonny Boy was only 7 or 8 at his first one and it hooked him on Jeeps forever. He now has his first Jeep at 15. Our daughter was only 3 and she still remembers it.
If it is close...go! You will have fun!! And you can always find someone local that might take you on an unauthorized excursion as well.
