Hey, I'm in the process of turboing my 1991 N/T but still a long ways away. I have pretty much all of the parts including a tubro ecu that has already been rebuilt and has never had problems. My car currently has very bad idle surge when cold then idles low when hot. My IAC seems fine, I believe my current ECU has leaked and has ruined the IAC drivers. I took it apart and it looks like they have leaked. My question is, in the mean time before I get the rest of the turbo parts in, can I use my turbo ecu in my non turbo ecus place just to check if the Idle surge goes away? I know the injectors run at a different resistance (about 15 ohms N/T and 10 ohms turbo with resistor pack) is this difference enough to cause damage at all? and and MAS is also difference, will the N/T still work or short something in the ECU? thanks!
