My advise would be to get a stock junk yard motor for your car, then swap in the motor you want when you have more funds.

I don't see much difference between swapping in a D-series or a B-series, other than the cost of the motor itself. Both motors will require the same ammount of fabrication in order to get them in, so if you're doing a huge ammount of fabrication anyway, you might as well swap in the motor you really want.

I'm sure others will have a different opinion.
