My 92 park ave did not need aligning. My problem was the magnet that the sensor watches for fell out of the camshaft gear. Look in the hole and rotate the crank. Hopefully yours is still there. If gone, you need to pop the cover and snap in a new one. $8.00. Unfortunately, it takes alot of time to pull the cover.
