Man, I totally feel you on your situation, except mine is a bit worse. I went in for a tire rotation two weeks ago and the mechanic found out that one of my McGard wheel locks was cracked. So there I was holding onto a half of the lock and the other half was stuck on the stud. After many attempts and about 15 shops later, no one is willing to take off the cracked wheel lock in fear of being liable for other damages if they mess anything else up. I can't blame the guy at the tire shop during the rotation because there was already rust on the lock where it cracked so it had to be from the previous shop that took my rims on and off (they say I dont have proof that they did it). So right now, I'm stuck because no one will even work on my car even if I pay them! I just hope that I don't get a flat or else I'm really screwed. Thank god I'm getting a new car in a couple months.
