Re: My Olds gettign ready for paint

[quote=justinwebb]well some of you on here remember my olds in much better shape it was stolen about a year ago stripped of everything and dumped and i got it back and have been fixing the damage.......i have taken off all the front and back in preparation of painting it....i have been practicing on my trunk lid and i have become quite good at it......so i figured since i was working on her all day replacing a steering column that they peeled back to steal it i would snap some pics......i am painting it the same color and all and keeping it stock since it holds some sentimenal value since it was given to me by my grandparents as my 1st car and since they are dying i always want something so i can remember them by and couldn't bring myself to sell it

Hey, Good luck! Just remember to be patient when painting it. If you rush, you'll make mistakes that will cost you time later to fix it.
2ndly, make sure you wear proper protection when painting it. ie a good filter mask. Do yourself the favour and go buy a good one. Don't use those paper ones, they are not worth it, trust me!

3rdly, savour the experience, especially since this car has special meaning to you. You'll love the memories and the stories of telling people that you painted it, and every little detail about what went right and what went wrong.

Have fun,
Make sure you post some pics when you are done.
