Since the dash is Digital, could it possibly be something that is electrical? It only comes on when the truck is warmed and idling like at a light, and then at about 5-10 mph it shuts off, but when i slow back down to stop, it comes back on, and annoying.

I have something similar in my 98 Jimmy 4dr 4.3l. The buzzing sound almost sounds like plastic dragging lightly on something abrasive, like if you dragged a plastic cup down the street. It's only audible from INSIDE the cab and sounds like it's coming from the back of the dashboard\firewall. Revving the engine up makes it go away, no diff in N, D, P, 4x4, vent blower on\off AC on\off. I don't know if yours is the same but I'm baffled by mine.
