If you've got the money and you really want good audio.. heres what I'd tell you to do.

Go get a new deck (Stock decks are RARELY that good).

Make sure the new deck has at least 2 pre-amp outputs. If you are gonna spend a lot of money.. get one with 3 (front, rear, and non-fading).

Get some nice subs, a nice monoblock subamp. I recommend Older Xtant, or PPI Art Series. Both amps were designed by the same guy. He now works at JL Audio as their amp designer. But dont get a JL Amp. They arent as good.. JL has a price budget, so the amps arent as good. At PPI and Xtant.. the budgets limit didnt exist, so he made some of the best car audio amps around.

For subs I recommend JL W6's, they are in my opinion the best sounding subs on the market, and rather price effective. W3's arent to shabby either.

For speakers.. I would personally get nice component sets, then you can cross them over and completely keep all unwanted sound frequencies from getting to them. If not, get some nice 3 ways and cross it over at the amps and the decks.

These are only my opinions.. im an audio buff.. my system cost me (literally) 6 times more than my car did. Heh.
