A little confused
Hi
Today I had the strut mounts on my Monte carlo replaced. When the mechanic was finished, he said that he could't start the car. I have a Python anti-theft remote control ( in a draw at home) but never had to use it. I'm the 3rd owner of the car, and figured the alarm was diconnected or wasn't working no more. He was able to get it stared by bypassing the device with a switch under the dashboard. When I got it back home, everytime I unlock the door, pop open the trunk, or start the car, the alarm goes off. (This never happened in the past 3 yrs) Also, the radio had to be reprogrammed as if the battery went dead. It also has a anti-theft device. Plus, now the "anti lock" light is on, but nothing wrong with brakes. Is this a coincidence that something went wrong with a computer chip, or could he have done something to cause all these problems to occur. All he did was changed the strut mounts. He said he didn't touch anything else.
Thanks for any comments.
