1998 Sunfire: DRL, one dim headlight?

I am the owner of a 1998 Sunfire Convertible, 2.4L.

Driver's side headlight is very dim while the passenger side is normal brightness, both under normal and high-beam operation. Also the Headlamp/DRL indicator clicks and flashes repeatedly during daytime operation unless I turn on the headlights.

I replaced the halogen bulb with new ones twice and also switched it with the working one from the passenger's side. Confirmed it is not a bulb problem as all 3 bulbs have worked properly on the passenger side.

If the DRL relay were faulty could it cause just one headlight to behave like this? Is that something that is available at an auto parts store?

What else can I check - socket, fuse, ground wire ?
