No, but the noise is more distant once the engine has be running for a while. I know the sounds the engine/alternator will make once you install a amp.. especially a high wattage amp. But this noise is comming from ther other side of the engine. From under the battery. It didn't start until the day after I got my transmission serviced. It goes away completely once i engage the clutch. Don't really see how the alternator is involved.
