I hooked the lights I put under my dash up to the interior light, so when I opened the door they came on, "or when I turned the light dimmer of course", I found this circut on the dimmer switch itself If I remember right, used a light tester to pinpoint which wire was right, also found the circut to hookup my after market gauges at the same place so they would react like the rest of the dash. so the back of your light switch is one place.
