Timing belt issue has absolutely nothin to do with problem depicted in the beginning of this thread. As said, pump replacer may or may not take belt out. If wrongly replaced, the problem stays constantly the same.

As no service history is known, some general ideas, go through link below:
- replace brittled vacuum hoses; especially hot engine end (cut off brittled part, half inch?)
- spark; plugs, cap, wires see p12
- groundings, contacts oxidized. See pages 10,15
- relays no contact, maybe Engine cont relay etc See page 5
- check charge voltage over 13.8V, if its bad, see p23
- Fuel pressure check when problem is on. Listen, does the pump start?
