Re: CAI with POP charger or not?

the only filters available for the pop chargers are the ones with that big chrome piece in the front. on a CAI system this part would be facing the ground and blocking the most direct airflow.
Boogie, don't sweat it. The need for the venturi with the POP is due to the proximity to the MAF (directly attached to it). With the CAI, the effect of the venturi is rather limited due to the length of the pipe before the MAF. The airflow becomes significantly less turbulent farther down the pipe. The real turbulence occurs where the filter attaches to the pipe. It smooths out downstream.

As for the chrome piece blocking air flow, don't worry about that. You'd be surprised at how air actually flows.

Just use the K&N filter that comes with the HS CAI. You'll be OK. I don't think anyone has ever received any gains by using a POP with a CAI.
