hey there, I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello. but I have a few questions also some of you may hate me because I don't know the correct politics of forums in general, However, I did do a search on all subjects I thought might help my situation. I have a 1995 Eagle Talon ESI. The suspension is bad, but I have new springs, shocks and struts for it, Tokico GR-2's flame away, but it was what I could afford and in the future if I need to replace them I will. The springs are Tenzo R ebay lowering springs I guess 2"-2 1/4" Drop? "racing purple color not sure of spring rate" if this is a bad combo I will have to learn the hard way it is what I bought. I also have a complete prothane suspension kit to install. Not trying to come off rude but I notice alot of people get flamed here, I would just greatly appreciate some help. Above covers all of my suspension hardware, and I can tell that atleast one shock is bad because not only is there a terrible rattle in the front when going over bumps but there are gouges in the tire where the upper "balljoint bolt?" is hitting the tire during driving over rough roads etc. the gouges are about 5" apart from one another and are directly under the bolt in question so I am almost sure that is the issue. What I am asking is does anyone have a link for a write up of procedures for replacing both front and rear shocks/struts and springs hopefully I can figure out the prothane bushings part along the way I am almost sure they are labeled. what I really need to know is how big of a job is it? what tools will I need? and just out of curiousity how good of a setup is this? what I mean is does anyone think I will have problems with this combo? will it perform well? in any case it is what I will be installing but opinions are always a good thing. Try to understand that I am not new to 2nd gen DSM's but just would like to have everything I need and a helper here with me if it is needed so I don't have to stop what I'm doing and go rent a tool or whatever. if I posted this in the wrong thread I apologize, as I have said I am new here.
