I've done quite a few of these intake jobs, and I have it down to about 4 hours, and that includes taking the valve cover baffels out and cleaning the muck that gets in there. Keep everything clean and organized, make sure you have a good in/lbs calibrated torque wrench, and you can easily do it in a weekend. If you wait, coolant can contaminate your oil and waste the crank, lifters or cause it to overheat and blow a head gasket. If it's seeping at all from the ends of the intake, you need to get it done ASAP.
