Been off of the site for awhile. Decided to post up a few updates. Finally got the truck on the lift one weekend and dropped the tranny. Didn't crack it open, but the fluid that came out looked like motor oil. It's back in South Carolina at Team Tripp getting rebuilt with even better parts than before. Also decided to not use the TCI 3000 stall, and bought a fuddle 3800. Got the coilover/4 link setup sitting in my buddies shop waiting on the tranny parts to get here. Fuddle mentioned that the converter would flash alot higher with my particular setup, so I'm looking to have some great 60ft times. Also went ahead and jetted up for the 200 blast at the next big track event. About to upgrade the fuel system to handle that kind of shot hopefully this weekend.
As for the SS.....I've done a few basic mods. I had a cutout put on and installed a whisper lid. Nothing major, but it did seem to have a little better pull. I hate the 3.23 gears, so I went ahead and ordered some 3.73s. Should be here by the end of the next week, then installed that weekend. Car ran pretty good for its first time out, a 13.2. A good bit better than I had originally thought it would. It's amazing to me how these cheap ass Dayton tires are hooking the car.
On a final note, fbody fever has struck in the area with my buddies. My roommate just purchased an silver 02 TA, auto, with a tune, 3.73 gears, slp lid, upgraded brakes, and strut tower brace. Another buddy purchased an 02 sunset orange metallic camaro ss bone stock. That now brings the total of fbodies in our group to 7(a 69 camaro, a 93 Z28, a 99 firebird a 2000 SS, a 2001 SS, a 2002 SS, and a 2002 trans am).

We're working on getting Chris out of the LT1 and into an LS1. Like we always say,"It ain't nothin but a payment". HA HA. Anyway, I'll have the truck back together by mid April and I'm really looking for a low 11/high 10 second pass. Wish me luck!!!
