Because it's going to be a lot of work to drop an LT1 into a '92 B-Body. The actual R&R is not so bad, but rewiring the '92 for the later ECM/PCM is going to be tedious. Unless you intend to batch-fire the injectors with an older ECM and machine the intake for a distributor (
www.lt1Intake.com) you're going to have a chore replacing the engine and ECM harness. Then you'll have to transfer the expansion tank to the older car, install the "upside down" radiator, and segregate the trans and engine oil coolers (warmer?) from the radiator. Then there's the matter of installing a different fuel pump in the tank. Then you'll have to route the A/C and P/S lines differently, since they're on opposite sides from the TBI engine.
Other than that, it's cake...
