I haven't rebuilt my head yet, because I'm waiting for the summer when i have more time to deal with the head being sent out for a rebuild. So for now she "uses oil" and vtec turns on about 50% of the time.
Also for my needs/wants, a supercharger was definetly the right choice. The most i'll ever be boosting is 10 psi, and that is right about where the JRSC stops being efficient. I mean a gsr with stock compression and 10psi is gonna be no slouch. I just gotta make sure all of my fuel components are flowing properly. I have the 8psi crank pulley right now, but thats gonna go on after i rebuild the head, and replace my stock injectors and fuel pump. As for 1/4 mile times, as of right now i would expect to be mid 14's, after a head rebuild, mild pnp, full exhaust, 8psi, and fuel mods... i would be damned if im not dipping into the 13's.
Also, i got the kit for 2k, price was not really an issue though, i just wanted sc over tc. I really feel like im driving a small 8 cylinder sometimes.
