I mean if your looking to go big, yeah the trubo's definately the better option...but if your looking for powerband and performance without major changes, the S/C is better

of course the engine has to be able to handle it, i must've missed that point when i was pointing out the difference.
a super charger is very inefficent compared to a turbo. the difference is just less noticeble down low cause its not flowing enough to show any real difference. when i look at the compressor blade of a centrifugal blower, it has an unsual amount of blades on it, kinda like a outdated T04B which is a turbo thats like 20 years old. if you look at all the efficient turbo chargers they all have 6 blades. even the centrifugal blower still has lag.
however if your talkin about a roots blower like the ones found on the jackson racing ones, then you'll feel like your driving a larger engine. but they are very very inefficent once you start making more boost.
if you really want responsive power from a turbo, just run a tiny like the KKK03's found in the 1.8t's. those things makes full boost at like 2000 rpm. of course its all a trade off, if you want to settle for soemthing in the middle then a hybrid turbo gives good top end and decent low end. i mean i've driven my friends 1.8 LS teg with a greddy turbo kit and hes running a TD05 18G hybrid turbo and that thing spools pretty damn fast to me and has enough flow for almost 400hp. but of course that kind of power in a FWD without drag radials is useless anyways.
