While I don't see the point in modding a sunfire per your example, it's not right at all to call it a shitty car. If the owner has a passion for modifying that particual car then so be it, different strokes for different folks. Anyone can say the same thing about Supras (and I have heard it more than once). Who are you to tell anyone what should be their dream car. Almost everyone I've met with a Civic loves that Civic and wouldn't want anything else, it's the same with any other car/driver.
Ranting and raving won't change the price of the car - True, but it will wake people up and realize that there are better cars for less.

If the owner has a passion for modifying that particual car then so be it - Noone has a passion for modding sunfires, they do it because its what they can afford, and instead of ruining a car that is BASIC TRANSPORTATION they could be saving for a good platform on which to start. If I would have saved all the money I wasted on junk cars when I was in highschool, Id probably be able to buy a supra.

Who are you to tell anyone what should be their dream car- I'm a genius, and young people would be wise to listen to me so they don't make the same mistakes I did. If your reading this and your 16 and starting to look for a car to pour money into, or your parents bought you a sunfire and you want to mod it, put 2k a year for 5 years into a Roth IRA instead.
