Sounds like you have a really nice car. If you tap the tach with your finger does it straighten out? Mine does, especially if it's cold and I gun it... it gets stuck. Just swap the gauge cluster (plug and play) from another 90-91 (88-89 doesn't plug in). If your car is running right, it's probably just a stubborn gauge.
