It sounds as though the dealer clear coated the car. This isn't a bad thing, but have they mentioned anything about a warranty for the paint. Usually when a dealer clear coats a vehicle you will get a 7 year warranty, against ANYTHING. Meaning even if you don't wash it. Clear coat is great because it removes the affect of orange peel, (ripples in the paint) If you ask them to show you a car that hasn't had a clear coat you should be able to see what i am reffering to. I don't think dealers usually clear coat before a car is sold, i am suprised they did. They may reffer to this process of clear coat as perma plate or even carbon bonding but don't let the jive fool you.
