I think most of the lose you see is becuase of the gain on top it just makes it seem like you lost more low end then you really did
I bet if you run a 0-60 test or 1/4 mile test you will run faster then you did before

if the noise is a problem then don't go fast =) sorry but for the most part of any car if you do anything to it mod wise you will end up changing the sound

honda made there cars so they are great for grandmas and mommys to drive keep in mind that becuase they do that it really hurts power really really bad depending on how well you know cars you will really see how big of a change it makes

put it this way with my stock car I could dump the clutch to spin 2nd gear after putting a intake on my car I could spin 2nd when not even trying on fast takeoffs

now my car if in first gear and I go full throttle my tires will skip/spin all the way to 7900-8200 depends on when I shift then 2nd gear is always toast=)

is my car loud? HELL YES! lol but its not that crappy honda w/tip kinda sound its really deep and people really seem to like it even honda haters

anywho I say keep the intake becuase you will only hear it if you mash the throttle if you drive it like you should on the road then you wont hear the intake

also going to a cold air intake for me was louder then the short I guess its because the filter was more so on the outside of the car VS under the hood
