I'm not familiar with "pm-2" or "pm-3". What are you referring to?

Having spent a fair amount of time with my 2000 Winstar LX 3.8, I'd also encourage you to take a very close look at this procedure:

It covers a common set of problems that our engines almost always have at 60K+ miles. Note that I was having problems (pinging, uneven running) even though I didn't yet have error codes. The good news: After performing the procedure (replace gasket port seals, isolator bolts, clean EGR ports) my Windstar runs great.
