yeah, you can just run the wire to the other wires and splice them. It would be better to run them all the way to the speaker just so you won't have to worry about having the spliced wire in there. But it would be a little easier to run it to the old wire, and that would work just fine. I would recommend going all the way to the speaker, but it will still work and sound about the same.
