I was just wondering if any of the problems I am having has anything to do with each other.
ON A FULL tank of gas, I just got 136 Miles... I know it is most likley the plugs and wires, which it has been 13k already for them.. so that is a given, but how much could that help the mileage? I will be looking at my fuel pump and hopefully rewiring it this weekend, will that affect anything? mileage wise?
The axel on the driver side has been completly opened, its the boot that is closest to the intermidiate shaft, What is the likley hood that it will just snap off? it's been like that for awhile, but hoping for warming weather before I buy another one. Would this also cause slower acceleration on that wheel? Is it also putting more pressure on my rusted suspension on that side?
2 studs to the manifold from the head have are gone, 1 was filled with a bolt screw dealy that is atleast 2-3 sizes bigger than the rest. The hole there is much larger and is stripped. 2nd one shot out or something when I was racing a camaro on the way home, It scard the living hell out of me when that happend because I just heard a metal ping and my car kinda shot back like it hit fuel cut. Not fun, There is a pretty bad exhause leak there, and the gasket that I put there is already kinda peeling away, ( I think it has a layer of something on top of the gasket) Is this damaging in any way my turbo? (which is on it's way out) I noticed that there is a loud screaming sound when I accelerate, so I am very VERY scared to push my car even past 3K rpms. Too many noises that make me think something is going to break. I know you use a heli-coil to re-thread or whatever to the head. But what about the one that is larger than the rest? Is it ok to have one bigger than all the rest?
Lastly, not to long ago I noticed that my BISS was filled in with I think rubber cement? Now, the cement or whatever has a hole in it and it is inflating when the car is on. My car now, or recently started reving at 500 rpms at a stop. Is there any connection? Thanks again for reading it.
