Enginge wise it is the same and i believe the only difference is that TA are available in manual and formulas are not.

I doubt that but i know the formula and trans am engines are the xact same. BUT the trans am has some luxury options like tractin controll and leather seats etc... From what i hear the formula is a bit faster than the trans due to the fact all those options account for more weight. Thus making the formula lighter and faster. Personally id take a trans am over a formula anyday.
