I have raced mine a number of times. I also lost traction all the way through 2nd. The trick i used was to lay off the pedal a little, don't rev it too high off the line. The z-rated that come with the spec v tires aren't the greatest either a set of proxies would most likely help the problem, i will be getting a set as soon as possible.
