You pick a four digit code, and you enter those numbers via the numeric buttons on the radio. Just make sure you write down that number, or else you'll have a locked radio if power is lost to it. Without that code entered, the words "LOC" appear and the radio will not turn on....until that code is entered correctly.
You might want to reference your owners manual because that Theftlock procedure must be followed precisely and within a 15 second timespan; or else you'll have to start all over again. You have 15 seconds to do it correctly.
I added the Theftlock on my radio, as I like that little red LED blinking on the radios' faceplate.... just a tad more level of secured / alarmed car.
