i have a 96 blazer 4X4 and have had trobel with it haveing a delay shifting in to 2 same as blazerLT in form

so i thougt it was slipping so started out in 1 and floored it no slip did the stall test no slip.put it in 2 and floored it it down shifted my dads 96 bravada does not do this. does any one elses blazer downshft out of 2 when gear sel in 2 wat is cauesing the delay and if i keep driving it will it burn the cluctes up thanks
