While I am not recommending this, I actually seen believe it or not, a Chevrolet dealership handle this issue once. I was in their shop talking to one of the mechanics when another mechanic opened the customers door and began prying and jerking upwards on it very hard. Like he was trying to tear the door off. I asked the mechanic I was talking to, whats going on over there? He said, oh we are adjusting a customers door that was brought in for sagging! I was shocked!

I had a door that was sagging pretty bad on a 1991 Chevy and I replaced the door hinge pins. I found that the bushings were worn out. The new pins came with new bushings and this solved my problem. I had noticed some slop before replacement, but not much. So this may or may not help you.
