Bet the computer is fine, sounds to me more like sensor issues or I have heard of a freak case where the CCP system was screwed up and fresh air couldn't get into the tank and as fuel was burned vacuum built and it would overpower the pump and "ran out of gas" till enough air leaked into the tank to allow the pump to pressurize the system again.
