I am new to this site and am not sure if this is the right place to ask a question. So, if I am in the wrong spot could someone direct me to the right place?
I own a '95 Honda Passport. Recently I noticed a significant leak of antifreeze under the driver side of the engine next to the wheel. I cannot locate the source of the leak.
I checked all hoses, water pump, oil, and radiator cap. Nothing. I refilled resevoir and radiator. Then the leak mysteriously stopped.
After a week it is back again. I have no unusual noise under my hood from any belts or anything like that. This time, however, I did notice that the hose leading back into the radiator had no water in moving through it. (yes, the engine was hot but not over heating). My heater works and no wierd leaks in the vehicle. I thought I had covered all my basics. I must be missing something. Can a water pump leak then not leak then leak again? Any one out there know something that can help me. Or, should I just take it to a mechanic (that will bleed me like a fresh kill)?
