I don't mean to sound like a smartass... but it I would assume that signal means that it isn't working correctly and you need to get it serviced. Airbag maintenance isn't likely to be in any manuals and robably isn't something to do yourself. Besides, if something goes wrong and it gets set off I'd rather have a shop be responsible so I don't have to buy a new one :P
A phone call to a dealership might get you an answer to the light code.
I would assume that the signal from the airbag sensors has been lost, and that is causing the light to come on.
