Re: wiring harness for a 88

Sorry about that, I forgot that you have one.

There is nothing wrong with old injectors. Just have them cleaned up and flow checked by a shop before you use them. I have found that the trick to finding parts is to find equivilant parts on other vehicles, or custom fitting parts to suit my needs. Things like fuel injectors turbochargers, fuel pumps, and a few other things are generic parts. There are only a few companies that make them. Well, not turbos in Toyota's case they make their own stuff. You just need to find out where you can get a compatable part. My Tacoma has injectors from a Nissan a fuel pump for a VW, and a T-100 radiator. My 1JZ Supra is the same way. Finding CT-12As in good shape isn't easy. Mine are about to go. When they die I will probably replace them with a pair of DSM units, It has a blend of parts from the MK III and MK IV Supra, SC 300, GM, and a few electronic leftovers from my Tacoma just for some spice. Learning how to make your own gaskets is also a useful skill. They can be a bit hard to come by here. Ultimatly you are only limited by your creativity.

Be aware that if you do this swap and something breaks it could be a long while before you get rolling agian. My Supra project has been delayed by as much as 3 months while waiting on back order parts from Toyota Japan.
