That is like cheating on an ethics test. But good for you for doing it. Sounds like that kid needing a serving of reality.
As far as the ticket. Fight it, plead not guilty, chances are they will offer you a plea bargain. And even if the ticket is only $70, the points on your insurance will cost you alot more in the long run. I'd fight it and be happy paying the $70 if it kept points off my insurance.
