Hi-there female needing advice. I have a 98 Blazer LT. Have a the same problem occur 3 times. Car was smoking from front end-looked under hood and the transmission overflow valve (hope that's what it's called) had apparently backed up and shot fluid out of it. My hubby dropped the pan changed fluid-it looked pink-no shavings and put on a new gasket and refilled transmission. This was in May of last years-no troubles til day after Christmas same thing again. Took it to a shop-they drove it an hour-shifts perfect-no problems. recommended a flush of the system-and putting an oil cooler on it. They did cost $250-not bad. Problem is it did same thing again yesterday. Car runs perfectly shift great-but now wants to spit fluid from the overflow valve-not sure whther to trust the people that worked on it before. they did put the oil cooler on it-but broke some front end clips and misaligned lights in process. Any suggestions my hubby might could look at?
