Oy....
....the absolute best thing you can do for your motor is to change the oil every 3,000 miles using the correct viscosity oil for the engine/climate conditions and use a quality oil filter. All those "witches brews" out there will not improve and sometimes hurt the insides of your motor. You are not going to be able to fix or cure a run down motor by pouring in a can of additive. Save your pennies.....
I've only used STP to precoat some parts when I rebuilt my air-cooled VW engine. I used Marvel Mystery oil during the initial start up of that engine....but that's been it.
