I really like the look that you have achieved with the paint, I don't think the flake looks too big, IMO the flake size suits it very well in an old school sort of way. I built one of these old Skylines a while ago and it was one of the most enjoyable car kits that I have ever built, it nearly built itself as the parts were such a good fit. I painted mine in a nice metallic red with the standard steel rims painted gloss black. Silver is such a weird colour to take good pics of as they reflect a lot of light back at the camera and I think thats why they never appear to look glossy even when they are very shiney, keep up the good work and I think the ram pipes look really slick by the way.
