Every company has their high points, and their low points. For example, the 'Japanese' companies tend to have much cleaner, more detailed molding, but their cars generally lack engines and are usually much more expensive than kits from 'American' companies (At least in America). The American kits aren't usually as well detailed, or as well designed when it comes to assembly, but they are much less expensive, and you get a completely different variety of subjects.
For me, it comes down to the subject, not the manufacturer: If it's only available from one company, I've never passed up on a kit I wanted because I didn't like who makes it. When multiple companies release the same car, that's when you can pick and choose brands.
