Check the wires first to make sure they are in good repair. Just make sure it's as dark as possible with the hood up and the engine running and look for any arching. On mine it was a comination of the wires and the ignition coils. I have a 4.6 in mine so it only has the two. make sure there are no cracks and such, and you can like wise check those by removing the wires one at a time and have someone start the engine and look for teh spark in the hole if it's weak replace the coil(s). Spark plugs could be it as well, but wasn't the case with mine. Good luck
