1996 Jeep Grand Cheorkee TPS question

Since I have been having the same intermittent problem for weeks now, I thought I would do some probing. Today I cheked the MAP and the TPS for starters just because they were easy to get to.

The MAP checked out good in accordance with my Haynes manual at 4.5 volts.

However, the TPS read normal with ingnition on (0.2 to 0.6 volts) mine read right at 0.6 volts. But when I open the throttle, I can only get it to go to 1.5 volts or so, which I should be able to get it to 4.5 volts wide open. I get the RPM up to 3-4K and only 1.5 to 1.6 volts.

So, I think the TPS is bad, but why am I not getting a 24 code?????

Should I just trust my measurements and change it anyway.

(By the way, the 5.0 volts from the PCM is good)

Thanks for the help.

Bryan
