All good adivice, but some folks suggest you "upgrade" to ATX-4. I have not been able to find ATX-4 except at the dealer. I went to buy ATX-4 for my neon, and the parts and fluid were going to be more than $70. I asked what it would cost if they did it, and they have an ongoing $99 tranny service special which includes the bands adjustment. I asked for the upgrade to ATX-4, and got it for free. At $99, It didn't make sense to risk spilling tranny fluid on the driveway, just to save $25.
