Gas shouldn't pool in any type of fuel system. Do a pressure test to determine wiether you have a pump or regulator problem.
Afterward, yank your plugs they're probably foul. Your car is starting whne you press the accelerator because that shuts the injectors off.
Also bear in mind the longer your fuel system has problems, the next system in the domino effect will be the ignition.
