yep, fell down some stairs...i just didnt feel like explaining all of the injuries.
i was at work christmas day and i fell down a flight of stairs. it wasnt really that many but they were concrete. i dont know how i fell (if i missed a step, slipped on a spill, whatever)...
anyways, i must have hit just right. i will lit my injuries and then explain:
-De-gloving Injury on both legs near hips
-fractured left pelvis (totally seperated from hip bone)
-fractured right pelvis (2 hairline cracks)
-destroyed sacrum
-i also broke 2 of the knob thingys off of my spine ALMOST catching a couple nerves making me paralyzed from the hips down
degloving injury is probably the nastiest. my skin seperated itself from the muscle due from the trauma of the other injuries. then between my skin and muscle fills with fluid. my right leg is being taken care of through wound vacuums literally sucking out the fluid and in return keeping my leg together. this was because my right leg was in the way of putting in the plate and bolts to repair my sacrum.
pelvis is self explanitory
sacrum - i had to have a S.S. plate put in with a couple of rods and bolts to help my sacrum heal back together and keep it in its proper location. this metal pieces will stay in he rest of my life.
so...as you guys can see, my injuries were pretty in depth and severe. i had surgery the tuesday after christmas and was in that hospital for 20 days. after that 20 days i was trasnferred to a hospital closer to my home where i started rehab, which is where i am now. i have been here for 5 days but i will be released to home sunday.
i cannot put weight on my left leg for about 4-5 more weeks and total expected healing time is 4-6months.
so....enough about me. Z's rule all and i have a few tricks of my sleeve for mine! thou shall respect my Z! patience is a virtue, anyways, should be a fun ride no matter how long it takes to get running again.
