Did you notice your engine get louder when you are at idle and have the hood open? Because I have a small knocking noice. is yours engine sound exactly after you installed the intake as before.

Turn it and pull, do it bit by bit and you should able to take that off. The whole thing should come out, with the sensor itself. Then you can remove the rubber seal and use it on the hole on the intake as well
Yeah, the intake is pretty loud I think, and I have the screetching noise when I shut off engine too, maybe it is the release of the extra air(dont know).
