Don’t worry about the hose running from the manifold. It’s just a heat tube, its used when it’s cold out (helps the engine warm up faster). Just remove the hose. Now, if you have trouble starting when its cold after you removed the tube, which I don’t think you will have a problem with, you can get a lower radiator hose hater. It keeps the coolant warm. They are simple to install and they only cost around 30 bucks. You will have to drain the coolant for this. So remember to pick some new stuff up, make sure its Dexron coolant.
